Torside Reservoir put-in (Longdendale)

This slipway sits on Torside Reservoir in the Longdendale valley, one of a chain of reservoirs built between 1849 and 1864 to supply Manchester with water. The reservoir runs for about 2.25 km through the valley, several miles from Charlesworth village.
