Shrivenham Canal Park slipway (Ron Martin Memorial Slipway)

A slipway in Shrivenham Canal Park, on a short restored pound of the Wilts and Berks Canal on the east side of Stainswick Lane. The Wilts & Berks Canal Trust built the Ron Martin Memorial Slipway here in 1998 and maintains the surrounding wildflower meadow and ponds; as of 2025 the roughly 100 metre pound was still affected by leaks from a damaged Victorian culvert beneath the canal bed and relies on a solar-powered pump to keep water levels up.
