Y Foryd (Foryd Bay) Slipway

A slipway on Foryd Bay (Y Foryd), the tidal estuary at the south-western end of the Menai Strait where the Afon Gwyrfai reaches the sea near Caernarfon. Roughly 250 hectares of mudflat and sand are exposed at low tide, and the bay has been a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve since 1994 for its wintering wader and wildfowl flocks.
