Northumberland, EnglandThis is the Coquet Yacht Club's slipway on the south bank of the tidal River Coquet, just west of Amble Marina, with views downriver to Amble and up towards Warkworth Castle. Another slipway, used as a public put-in, lies about 70 metres further along the same bank.

Northumberland, EnglandThe Coquet Shorebase Trust runs canoe, kayak and paddleboard sessions from The Braid, on the tidal River Coquet between Amble and Warkworth. The estuary here is sheltered, with Warkworth Castle visible upstream and Amble harbour a short paddle downstream.

Northumberland, EnglandA beach slipway on the North Sea at South Beach, Blyth, at the north end of a roughly four-kilometre bay. The Blyth Personal Watercraft club runs a launch facility for members at this end of the beach, and it is one of the north-east's established jet-ski launch sites.

Northumberland, EnglandThis is a free public slipway on the south bank of the tidal River Tweed at Berwick-upon-Tweed, a short distance upstream of the RNLI lifeboat station. It is usable for roughly three-quarters of the tidal range and is popular with anglers launching small boats onto the estuary.

Northumberland, EnglandGreenlee Lough is a natural lake three miles north of Bardon Mill in Northumberland National Park, the largest natural lake in Northumberland. It is a national nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest managed jointly by Northumberland Wildlife Trust and the National Park Authority; a sailing club once used the lough but lost access in the 1970s when the landowner withdrew permission.

Northumberland, EnglandA slipway on the River Wansbeck within Wansbeck Riverside Park, south of Ashington. This stretch is non-tidal because of a barrage downstream at the coast, and it is used by Cambois Rowing Club and Ashington Paddlesports Club alongside anglers.
RiverAbove Weir
Northumberland, EnglandA whitewater egress point on the River Tyne at Hexham, immediately above the weir that crosses the river below the town bridge. Hexham Canoe Club uses the Tyne Green area nearby for public paddling sessions, and paddlers heading downstream to Corbridge are advised to stop above or below the weir rather than run it blind.
